On June 24th, the U.S. Supreme Court voted to overturn Roe vs. Wade, ending the federal right to abortion. This decision could also jeopardize access to birth control, the right to same-sex and interracial marriage, and ultimately threaten our fundamental right to privacy. Advocating for women in science and medicine includes advocating for their right to bodily autonomy and for the right to all forms of healthcare, including abortion. This is a decision that affects not only women, but all people with uteruses. This is a decision that affects all of us, regardless of our gender identity. We have compiled a list of resources that we hope can provide some information about how this affects us, and next steps for us as a community.
